• Q. Is The Grand Tier Restaurant open to the public?
    A. Yes, The Grand Tier Restaurant is open to the public with reservations made by calling 212-799-3400 or visiting our website www.grandtierny.com. You do not need a ticket to dine with us, but you must make a reservation. If you are attending a Lincoln Center performance, you can dine with us on a first-come, first-serve basis depending on availability. We do not accept walk-ins from outside the building at this time, unfortunately.
  • Q. How do pre-orders work?
    A. For those attending a performance within the Metropolitan Opera, Grand Tier Restaurant and the Intermission Bars accept pre-orders of food and beverage. You can place a pre-order via www.diningatmetopera.com.
  • Q. What time does The Grand Tier Restaurant open?

    A. The Grand Tier Restaurant opens two hours before every performance at the Metropolitan Opera House. It remains open throughout the evening for dinner with reservations available even if you are not seeing the show.

    We are also open for Sunday brunch weekly with recitals from rising Met artists in the dining room, with reservations from 11 am – 2 pm. Sunday brunch performances are at 12:15 pm and 2 pm.

  • Q. How far in advance can I pre-order at The Grand Tier Restaurant or Intermission Bars?
    A. We are now accepting orders for the entire 2017-2018 Met Opera Season.
  • Q. How soon before a performance can I pre-order?
    A. Orders for pre-curtain are accepted up until 4 hours before the performance time. Orders for the first intermission are accepted up until 10 minutes before the performance start time. Orders for second intermission are accepted up until 10 minutes before the start of the second act.
  • Q. Can I change my order after it has been placed?
    A. Yes. By storing your credit card information with your Grand Tier registration information you can modify your order up to 48 hours before the day of the performance.
  • Q. I tried to place a pre-order at either The Grand Tier Restaurant or Intermission Bars and I received a message that no more orders can be selected for my performance.
    A. Space in both The Grand Tier Restaurant and Revlon Bar is limited. If you are unable to make a reservation using our automated web services, please call 212 799 3400, during the hours of 10 am-4 pm Monday-Friday, and inquire about additional availability for your performance date.
  • Q. Can I pick up my Intermission Bar order at any of the Intermission Bars?
    A: Pick up for Intermission Bar orders is available at the bars that offer enough space and staff to expedite the service process. These bars include Founders Hall/Concourse, Parterre, Revlon Bar (Grand Tier level), and Family Circle bars.
